Denver Green School Northfield (DGS) asked students to share their vision for the future of the Park Hill Golf Course. As part of a school project, DGS 6th grade students submitted several presentations outlining what they would like to see on this land in the Northeast Park Hill neighborhood. They presented the top three concepts to Westside and Holleran in late December. All of the presentations showed immense creativity, detailing innovative ideas around housing and food access, outdoor activities and entertainment and ensuring creativity and diversity. We support the innovative approach Denver Green School used to help kids reimagine their neighborhoods and learn about building sustainable communities. We look forward to continuing to provide opportunities for Denver Green School students to make real world connections as they complete curriculum focused on the public and social determinants of health through the lens of social justice.
