Mile High Festivals, event producers for Denver’s Juneteenth Music Festival, is launching a new community initiative focused on feeding one of Denver’s historic food deserts and fighting youth gun violence. In partnership with Park Hill Golf Course Reimagined, a joint venture between The Holleran Group and Westside Investment Partners, the goal is to take a small step towards moving the needle on the lifestyle inequities experienced by this community by bringing diverse and healthy dining options.
Each Thursday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Denver residents are invited to dine al fresco or pick up carry out from Denver’s largest weekly gathering of food trucks at the Park Hill Golf Course Clubhouse.
Each week, Mile High Festivals will work with community partners to host 15 kids from underserved communities for lunch or dinner. Additionally, 10% of sales from the weekly gathering of Food Trucks will benefit the Mending Roots Forest Project, which works to tackle the multiple social determinants of health-related to gun violence.
